Kim S. Fredrick is a triathlete from Las Vegas, Nevada and she competes in sprint and olympic distance races. She began triathlon training in 2013 and at 62 years young, she successfully completed her first Half Ironman (70.3 miles). Kim trains for a variety of sports, including swimming. Swim training is two days a week for an hour and she trains in indoor swimming pools and in open water. Here are two videos of Kim demonstrating the single arm drill and the side kick drill. Improving technique helps maximize her speed and endurance for long swim sets in practice or races.
